Bios
Sue
Balint
Sue Balint is a playwright who has collaborated with artists across Canada as
well as Australia and Europe. Locally, her work includes Body Geometry – The
Seventh Angel (Theatre Centre/Passe Muraille), Visiting Aphrasia (4Play
Festival) and Pagan Love Songs for the Uninitiated (Summerworks). She’s also
been a member of Factory Theatre’s Playwright’s Lab. As a founding member of
Theatrefront, Sue wrote the Dora-nominated fforward and continues her work on
the company’s first international collaboration, The Sarajevo Project.
Most recently, Sue has been connecting dots between sacred architecture,
environmental design and ritual. In her spare time she attends Civil War
reenactments in Virginia.

David Duclos
David has worked in the arts for three decades, in disciplines ranging from
graphic design to contemporary music to independent theatre and dance. From 1992
to 2002 he managed the Theatre Centre, beginning as General Manager and ending
as Artistic Director. More recently, David has been working as a freelance
designer and production manager on projects like bluemouth inc.’s American
Standard, David Buchbinder’s Shurum Burum Jazz Circus, and the Carlos Bulosan
Theatre Company’s production of The Romance of Magno Rubio.
David Duclos has studied painting with Takao Tanabe and Molly Lamb Bobak. He has
studied light design with Andrea Lundy, Jan Komarek and Rebecca Picherack. He is
looking forward to the show that will combine these two worlds perfectly and is
thankful to his collaborators for sharing the challenge.

Katherine Duncanson
Interdisciplinary artist Katherine Duncanson is involved in the creation and
performance of dance, music and theatre with an ever-expanding array of
Toronto-based dance artists, theatre artists, performance artists, visual
artists, writers, musicians and clowns. She has been a member of the
interdisciplinary collective, Urge, since 1995.
As well as being very active in Toronto, Katherine has performed and taught
across Canada at festivals and events such as Women In View (Vancouver); High
Performance Rodeo (Calgary); The New Music Festival (Winnipeg); The Canada Dance
Festival (Ottawa); Super Micmac (Montreal); Suddenly Listen (Halifax); The Sound
Symposium (St. John's) and so on.
Currently creating a body of solo work that integrates text, extended voice,
movement and song, Katherine also enjoys her work as a music educator, vocal
director, and creative facilitator.

Natasha Doyon
Natasha Doyon is a painter who creates large-scale mixed-media pieces. She
explores the essence of each figure’s sexuality, identity, flesh, blood, and
bones. She has shown in numerous solo and group exhibitions in Montreal, Ottawa,
and Toronto. Additionally, she has worked on several theater and dance projects.

Erin Klee
Erin Klee, Administrator of DNA, graduated from MacMurray College in 2003 with
majors in Theatre, Psychology and Spanish and minors in English and Liberal
Arts. Her theatre experience includes directing, acting, dancing, stage
management, dramaturgy and lighting. In recent years, she has worked with the
California Shakespeare Festival, University Theatre (Madison, WI) and the
Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art.

Hillar Liitoja
Hillar Liitoja, Artistic Director of DNA, is thrilled that David Duclos accepted
the commission to create this installation and is delighted to once again be
painting with him.

Viv Moore
Viv Moore has been performing and choreographing (dancing and acting) both
collaboratively and as a solo artist, as well as teaching and coaching movement
for many years, in dance, theatre, film and video in England, Sweden, Australia
and Canada.
Viv co-founded Remote Control with Dave Wilson in 1979 working with community
dance (RNIB, Deaf and Partial Hearing) in London, England. She received a Harold
(Independent Theatre 1998-99), Paula Citron fFIDA (Dance Fringe) Award (1999)
for Bogie Woman and was nominated for a Dora for Body Geometry, the 7th Angel
(2002).
Viv teaches Dance & Movement in the Film & TV programme at Humber College, sings
with the Boychoir of Lesbos, clogs with Half-Crown Cloggers, and dances with
Luscious Bellies. A recent highlight was dancing in Denise Fujiwara’s The
Conference of the Birds.

Richard Windeyer
Richard Windeyer creates music, sound and visuals for experimental theatre,
radio, film, and integrated media projects. He is a member of Dora Award-winning
experimental performance collective Bluemouth Inc. Presents, and collaborates
with a laptop music trio called Finger. His work has been heard across Canada,
